Civil marriage requirements
Bride and Groom
Full name, place and date of birth, age, profession, citizenship, nationality, number and a copy of the passport, address, civil status, name of the parents and their nationality. Birth certificate and civil status must be authenticated by the consul of Costa Rica. In case of being a widow or divorced, you must include the name of the ex-spouse or indication of the place and date of divorce.

Legal witnesses
Two witnesses are required with the following information: Full name, civil status, profession, nationality, passport number and place of residence. Note: The marriage documentation in the Civil Right takes approximately two months. The lawyer will send via email the authenticated certificate (signed by your consulate in Costa Rica).
